Our Story

Born from a passion for working with fire and steel, Murrill Forge was founded with a simple vision: to make world-class knives that are both functional tools and works of art.

Founder Toby Murrill began his blacksmithing journey in Australia, where he first picked up the hammer and fell in love with the rhythm, heat, and precision of metalwork. It was there he learned the fundamentals of forging and developed a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship and discipline behind each blade. This formative experience laid the foundation for the style, philosophy, and quality that now define Murrill Forge.

After returning to the UK, Toby continued to refine his craft and build a space where knife making could be both a profession and a shared passion. Each knife made at Murrill Forge is a reflection of that journey—one that spans continents, traditions, and years of dedication.
